I found another tiny hole or two at the edge of the left lens. It isn't as bad as the tear and I have repaired it with the recommended marker repair. There is no sign of light leaking through my tin foil and tar tape repair over the tear in front of the light lens. I didn't see any sign of the repair when looking through the binocular.

CommentsI was going to see how my Brunton's compared with my Canons but picked the wrong day. SpaceWeather.com says spot 900 is continuing to grow but they must be talking about its west to east extent rather than the area the spots actually take up. I had trouble finding the spots in the Canons even with the image stabilization turned on. The spots are so faint that I had trouble seeing them through the clouds and am not sure that there weren't more than three spots.
