I could see the spots go south each time there was a gust of wind.

The spots are still strung out across the middle of the sun but appear to be consolidating a bit. There are fewer spots but the ones that are there are larger and darker.

I counted seven spots in this group. I know there are more there that I can’t see at 15x and hand held. The P spot is larger and darker and definitely has penumbra around it. I think the end spots are showing penumbra also, but they are still a little small.

The group has three spots that I can identify. The two main spots are lined up with a small spot following them and below.
SOHO image excerpt
I counted what I believe to be 22 spots in the image above when I blew it up in Photoshop. Group 921 is about 21° across and Group 922 is about 10° across. From end to end the spots span 40° of the Sun’s disk.

I am still seeing a small spot north of the equator but it appears to be a single pixel and I am wondering if it is an artifact of the SOHO image capture system. I need to get a copy of yesterday’s image where I first saw it and see if it is still in the same place. It moves on my screen when I move the image so I know it is not a problem on my end.
