Between me moving and the subway platform moving and my little binocular I was not able to see any sunspots this morning. Group 910 was big enough yesterday that I don't expect that it has totally disappeared already but is below the size I can detect under these conditions.

I have it another try from the library where I could stabilize myself by leaning up against the building and had the same results: nothing seen.

I checked Space Weather and they say the spot is still there but it looks small on the SOHO MDI image. Active Region Explorer indicates a size change of -25% to +25% over the past 24 hours so it is possible that it is shrinking. It is also possible that it has brown and my small hand held binoculars are just not up to seeing it.

Last night I heard NASA radio being retransmitted on one of the ham bands but couldn't find which frequency it was on. Today I did some searching and found one source of it

Disclaimer
This is my personal record of my astronomical observations. It was written for my personal reference. The only reason it is in a blog is that a blog is a very convenient way to get the records formatted more or less uniformly and they will, hopefully, have greater longevity at Google where the servers are backed up than on my hard drive which never gets backed up. I occasionally include copyrighted material in my posts. I do this to make it convenient for me to access things I think I might want to refer to again. I think of this like making a photocopy of something I read that I put in a file where I can find it when I want it. As I understand copyright law, as explained in the DVD series Copyright Compliance by Chip Taylor Communications, this use is allowed under the Fair Use doctrine since I am not making any money on this blog, I don’t publicize the blog, and only occasionally post small excerpts of copyrighted works.
