| Atmospheric Conditions | It is mostly cloudy here today and at 1500 the temperature was 73ºF breaking the brevious high of 71ºF that has stood since 1955. We are supposed to have a cold front move through this afternoon and the temperature tonight will drop down to a frigid 48ºF.
We are thinking about an expedition over to CSP around 0400 EST tomorrow morning to try for Pojmanski again. CSC and NOAA say the clouds will be breaking up overnight but the humidity is supposed to be high and transparency below normal.

CDC is predicting the comet being at Mag 7.2 but the recent comet magnitudes site says that on 7.33Mar06 it was still at Mag 5.7 as observed from Brazil in a 20x80 binocular. Carted cu Ciel graphic When I arrived home at 2030 EST tonight I could see a few stars and the ring wasn't too bad around the moon so I am going to try and get some sleep and head down to CSP around 0230 EST tomorrow morning to give Pojmanski one more try. I think the conditions are a little worse tonight than CSC predicted. |
