I just read some articles on Steve Fossett's in progress attempt to make the longest solo, nonstop, around the world flight. The trip is supposed to last three days if his fuel lasts that long. The articles say that he will be taking power naps lasting no more than five minutes each. That set me to doing some calculating. If you figure he wants to get six hours of sleep a day, which he probably doesn't, and that six hours is spread equally in five-minute increments over three days, then he has to go to sleep for five minutes every 15 minutes (sleeps 5 minutes out of every 20). I don't think I could do that or that it would do me any good if I could.
