I picked up Some Assembly Necessary today. Everything fits together nicely although there is some slop in the whole thing until you crank down on the screws holding the coffee cans in place. I need to get another screw to hold the eyepiece in place, the one I got last week is a little bit too large. I still need to get the mirror cleaned up and reinstalled. I got delayed on that by having to install a new operating system on my computer after a Windows Update scrambled the old one.

Since this is a rich field scope I am thinking that my first light object at this time of year should probably be Cygnus to see if the Milky Way and it's bifurcation show up. Then I can swing up to Lyra for the doubles there and maybe down to the Coathanger while I am getting used to finding things with it.

Now that I am thinking about trying to find things I realize I need to get the red dot finder mounted too, but can't do that until I have an eyepiece so I can see what is in the center of the field of view.
