772
Group 772 is almost on the western limb near the equator. This is probably the last day I will be able to see it. There is a void area surrounding the group.
773
Sunspot 773 is a lone spot as far as I can tell, just below the equator and a short distance from the western limb. I can not detect any penumbra but the spot is big enough that it probably has one. There is a void ring around the spot.
775
This is the only northern hemisphere group. It is just approaching the meridian. There are two spots with a continuous penumbra around them and a small isolated spot trailing them. There is a void area in the granularity on the meridian side of the two spots with the penumbras.
776
776 continues to grow and looks like it is separating into two sunspot groups. The trailing area of penumbra has condensed into three spots. The main body of the group is composed of two spots with a shared penumbra and an isolated spot without penumbra preceding them. These three spots are surrounded by a void area. SpaceWeather.com is still saying M- or X-class flares are possible from either 775 or 776.

The Boulder Sunspot Number keeps going up while my sunspot number keeps going down.

Disclaimer
This is my personal record of my astronomical observations. It was written for my personal reference. The only reason it is in a blog is that a blog is a very convenient way to get the records formatted more or less uniformly and they will, hopefully, have greater longevity at Google where the servers are backed up than on my hard drive which never gets backed up. I occasionally include copyrighted material in my posts. I do this to make it convenient for me to access things I think I might want to refer to again. I think of this like making a photocopy of something I read that I put in a file where I can find it when I want it. As I understand copyright law, as explained in the DVD series Copyright Compliance by Chip Taylor Communications, this use is allowed under the Fair Use doctrine since I am not making any money on this blog, I don’t publicize the blog, and only occasionally post small excerpts of copyrighted works.
