| Comments | I have been listening to the Geminids meteors over the internet while I have been working this afternoon. These meteors are much faster than any of the previous streams I have heard. There are none of the ringing bells or long moans that I have heard with other showers. These are more like two glasses clicking or someone making a forceful psst sound. By around 2130 some of them were starting to sing a bit and by 2300 some of them were making the long wailing sound.

| Atmospheric Conditions | When I got there there was about 40% cloud cover, mainly around the western horizon (about 20 degrees up above the apartments). When I left about 45 minutes later the sky was about 80% obscured. The temperature was dropping through the 30s and the wind was generally around 7-8 but gusted to 15-16 giving a 10 degree wind chill. |

| Comments | Visually the Geminids were a disappointment. I spent 45 minutes out there at midnight when they were supposed to be at their best and only saw two meteors. The more impressive of the two was during one of my rest periods when I wasn't actually counting meteors. They appeared faint yellow and moved very quickly. Both of them came out of the ENE and went to the WNW.
