CommentsMoon's age 4 days 3 hours, 15% illuminated. While waiting for the HBO movie in Bryant park I watched the moon become visible before sunset. As it started to get darker delicate earthshine was visible over the dark face of the moon. As it got still darker and the contrast between the illuminated part of the Moon and the dark sky increased the dark part of the moon got very gray and was less evident.
